Day 9 - 28 Too Many

03 December 2012 — Mandy Marshall — Blog

28 Too Many

28 Too Many is a values based FGM charity funded by supporters and donations, created to help eradicate Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the twenty-eight countries within Africa where it is still practised. Founded in 2010, it takes a stand against FGM (also known as Female Genital Cutting).

28 Too Many ask for prayer for:

  • Successful reporting and action following a commissioned study by Tearfund into the Role of the Church in ending female genital mutilation (FGM) in Tanzania
  • Completion of first 4 country reports by end March 2013 that will help FGM end in those countries
  • New donor funding as a key donor has not delivered on a promised pledge
  • Safety & protection (physical, emotional, spiritual) of 20 in the team, including 3 researchers living inMali and Uganda
  • Wisdom and discernment for our Exec Director, trustees, managers and team
