Mandy's Kili climb that almost killed her...
Well OK - we exaggerate just a little bit. Unless you've been stuck up a mountain or in the middle of the jungle, you will not have failed to notice that Mandy has completed her climb up Mount Kilimanjaro. She summited on the morning of Sat 14th Jan at 9:15am after 9 hours of hiking. Unfortunately Mandy didn't make it down again unaided. She had an asthma attack on the crater rim, required oxygen, and was stretchered off the mountain.
Read her blog about the experience here http://www.restoredrelationships.org/info/blog/2012/01/24/making-memories/.
Photo's of the climb which give a good overview are available on Restored's Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.347888885230241.90590.203082719710859&type=1
There is still time to sponsor Mandy here http://charitygiving.co.uk/bendykilimanjaro We know some of you have waited to see if she actually made it to the top. :)
